The tulip is the sexiest, most capricious, the most various, subtle, powerful and intriguing flower that has grown on earth.  These flower lines changed over the years, but the constant were always the tulips. Lily-flowering Tulips have long pointed petals which arch outward, the flowers somewhat resembling a lily. You'll find an excellent selection of high-quality tulip bulbs, Holland tulips, and other great tulip flowers in any good Flower Shop.

The tulip tree is well named, having flowers that rival earth-bound tulips.  As your tulips begin blooming this spring, keep an eye on those flowers. Finally there are multi-flowered tulips where the stem divides into several smaller stems each carrying a smaller regular tulip flower. The tulip flower has a quite simple anatomy. Made famous by the Netherlands, and now grown in gardens around the world, tulips are joyous flowers that are full of life. The tulips with more chromosomes tend to have larger plants and larger flowers, but have great difficulty with sexual reproduction. With a little imagination, the flowers of some tulips do look like a turban.

Many of the multiflowering cultivars belong to the single late tulip class. But the tulip continued to be the national flower of Holland and as important export in their economy.  Introduction Tulips are probably one of the most popular, widely grown and easily recognized groups of spring flowering plants. Eventually tulips came to be thought of as the flowers of God, and were strongly symbolic.
